This website has been provided by Morgan McManus Solicitors (see www.morganmcmanus.com) and provides information on accident and employment issues. We are a firm of Solicitors. This is very important. We are regulated by the Law Societies of the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. Unlike some more recently established companies, Morgan McManus has been established for over 100 years. We are a highly regarded practice. We have no hidden costs or agreements with third-party service providers. Our service is for the benefit of our clients. Whether your accident or employment issues arise in the Republic of Ireland or Northern Ireland or; whether you are claiming or a Claim has been made against you, it is important that you are informed. We do not promote Claims. We do however want to ensure that our clients are informed. To learn more about why we started this website, go to About Us

As well as comprising information on processing a Claim (see our Compensation Claims Guide), where we advise on Personal Injury Litigation we also look at the claims process from the view of the prospective respondent (see our Employers Liability – Accident at Work section).

For Republic of Ireland Claims, we advise on the InjuriesBoard.ie (previously known as the Personal Injuries Assessment Board (PIAB) process. There is no website of this nature in Ireland covering accident claims and employment claims from an all-island perspective. It is our aim to keep this website fully updated by regular news items, letting our clients know the latest developments in these ever-changing areas of the law.

We intend to keep visitors to this Website continually informed of changes in these areas of the law by way of of this News section. As you will see, for your convenience we have divided the News section into Republic of Ireland News and Northern Ireland News.

There are variations in the procedures for Claims and the Defence of those Claims in the different jurisdictions of Ireland (Eire), Northern Ireland, England and Wales. People wonder whether they can get free advice and whether Solicitors are prepared to take on a “no foal (no win) /no fee” basis. Again, there are different regulations in each jurisdiction issued by the respective law societies of Ireland, Northern Ireland and England/Wales.

Many different forms of injury, such as whiplash, back injury, head injury, spinal injury, crush injury, repetitive strain injury, various diseases and syndromes can occur. Victims can suffer from deafness and eye injury. Complications, such as Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder can arise. Injury can result in death (fatal accident).
